NIMASO Special: How to use the iPhone user dictionary to increase your efficiency! It's a waste not to use it!

NIMASOスペシャル:iPhoneユーザ辞書で効率UPの活用術!使わないのは損!

Are you using your iPhone properly?

This time, we will introduce some tips on how to make the most of the standard iPhone functions that will be useful for work.

Make full use of the user dictionary

It can be a hassle to type frequently used words and phrases one by one when typing on an iPhone. For example, when editing a business email, try registering frequently used phrases such as "Thank you for your support. This is ____ from ____ company" in the user dictionary so that you can convert them in one go.

Please refer to the following for instructions on how to set up a user dictionary.

  1. Open the "Settings" app that comes standard with your iPhone and tap "General."

  2. Tap Keyboard Settings, then tap Custom Dictionary.

  3. Tap “+” in the top right corner.

  4. Enter the word in the "Word" field. Enter the pronunciation you want to use in the "Reading" field.

For example, in the case of NIMASO, it would be a hassle to type in the six letters of "NIMASO," so it would be a good idea to type in "nim" and be able to convert it.

Next, we will introduce a shortcut for registering dictionaries.

When you select your favorite character, tap the right icon in the menu that appears, then tap "User Dictionary."

Then you will automatically be taken to the following screen.

You can then proceed directly to the dictionary registration screen.

You can enter any characters you like into the "reading" field. For NIMASO, I used the first three characters, "NIM."

However, the user dictionary was not displayed for English.

Use iCloud to keep your user dictionary up to date on your other devices

Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud and turn on iCloud Drive.

Since you will often be entering email addresses, phone numbers, and addresses that you use frequently, it is convenient to register your email address as "mail."

Use a magnifying glass. Blue light blocking film is also important to protect your eyes!

You can also use your iPhone as a magnifying glass. Tap the magnifying glass icon in the Control Center.

If you are in the "Included Controls" mode, the camera will be used to enlarge the subject. Small characters that are difficult to read due to farsightedness can be enlarged and checked.

Use the magnifying glass to view at normal size

You can also add other functions to the "Secondary Controls" such as "Person Detection", "Flashlight", "Brightness" and other functions as you like.

When working on a computer or smartphone, eye fatigue increases. That's where a screen protector that blocks blue light comes in handy. This time, we'll introduce NIMASO's blue light blocking film for laptops.

Blue light blocking technology significantly reduces blue light, reducing eye strain and making it effective for those who look at a screen for long periods of time.
